Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) Disputes

Since the firm was established, Pat Yearwood and Chris Dyson, in particular, have successfully appealed numerous decision of the Workers' Compensation Board of British Columbia (WCB). Both Mr. Yearwood and Mr. Dyson have made winning submissions to the Review Division, the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal (WCAT) as well as the former Review Board and the Appeals Division.

We have extensive experience and expertise in dealing with both worker and employer disputes with WCB. As the former Director of Legal Services for the Worker's Compensation Board of Alberta, Pat Yearwood has an encyclopedic knowledge of the relevant legislation, the important issues, the law in the area and the bureaucratic system that must be dealt with. Chris Dyson has been doing WCB appeals for five years and is well respected for the excellent results he has achieved for his clients. Our WCB experience includes issues involving compensation claims for workers as well as occupational health and safety issues for employers.

Our firm also has expertise with respect to motor vehicle accident claims that may involve both ICBC and WCB issues.

We will explore all of the possible avenues available to your case and we will sit down with you to plan a cost effective strategy to maximize your chances of the best possible result.

We understand that the WCB process can be confusing and even intimidating. We will listen carefully to your concerns and we will guide you through the legal maze and explain things as we go in plain and understandable language.

We can also accommodate your schedule with reasonable and flexible appointment times.

WCB cases are typically billed on an hourly basis by our firm. Our objective is to provide quality and professional legal services at a reasonable rate.
