Yearwood & Co. has been known for the excellence of its litigation services since the firm was established in 1998 by Patrick Yearwood. Our litigation lawyers are experienced trial and appellate counsel who regularly appear at all levels of court in British Columbia and Alberta, including the Federal Court of Canada. We have extensive experience in serious and catastrophic injury claims.

Since the firm was established, our lawyers have acted as counsel in many personal injury cases, mostly in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, in claims under the Worker's Compensation Act, the Motor Vehicle Act, the Occupier's Liability Act claims, medical malpractice claims and in claims for intentional torts.

Yearwood & Co. lawyers regularly represent clients who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others. We have extensive experience and expertise in dealing with claims from injuries sustained in motor vehicle collisions and, as a result of acting for them in the past, we have extensive experience in dealing with ICBC and we understand how ICBC works.

We will fight to get you rehabilitation and a fair settlement of your claim as soon as possible. We will explore all of the possible avenues available to conclude your case in the best possible way. Some of the most common methods of resolving an injury claim include negotiating a settlement directly through the adjuster or defense counsel, mediations, summary trials and, of course, trials.

We understand that the legal process can be confusing and even intimidating. We will listen carefully to your concerns and we will guide you through the legal maze and explain things as we go in plain and understandable language. We will provide you with free written material that will also help to explain the steps in the process as we go along.

We can accommodate your schedule with reasonable and flexible appointment times and we will travel to your home or to the hospital.

We know that it can be difficult to retain a lawyer after an accident so we routinely work for personal injury clients on a contingency fee basis at fair percentages. We do not get paid unless and until you recover compensation for your injuries. If you want to contact us for a free one-half hour interview to discuss your personal injury claim, just click here to email us or call 604-513-2333.

If you would like to have a lawyer take a look at your case and give you a preliminary opinion on whether or not it is meritorious or valuable, please fill out the Personal Injury Evaluation Form and email it to us.
